Our story
Two years of music and jams around a circle of instruments — and above all, friendships made through playing together that last well beyond the weekend.
Our first Campout, almost an experiment. It went better than we hoped — proof that bluegrass has room to grow in Italy, and that we wanted to keep going.
Musicians from all over Italy, a welcoming refuge, jams late into the evening. The second edition confirmed we're heading in the right direction.
The project
Italian Bluegrass Campout grew out of a love for bluegrass and the spirit that comes with it: jams as meeting places, where people play together, learn from each other, and grow — as musicians and as people. More than a string of concerts, it's a community: we aim for an open, inclusive atmosphere where someone who's played for decades and someone who just picked up an instrument find the same place in the circle. Beyond the annual Campout, we support regular jam sessions taking root in Tuscany, Emilia-Romagna, and across Italy.
