Privacy Policy

1. Who processes your data

The data controller is Alfonso Dodero, on behalf of Italian Bluegrass Campout. For any request regarding your data, you can write to italianbluegrasscampout@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

We only collect the data you voluntarily provide by filling out the "Keep me posted" form on the site:

We don't collect special or sensitive data, and we don't ask for any information beyond what's strictly necessary for this purpose.

3. Why we process your data

We use your data for a single purpose: sending you occasional communications about Italian Bluegrass Campout — for example, announcing the date and location of the next edition, opening registrations, program updates, or post-event thank-yous. That's a handful of emails a year, sent only when we have something concrete to tell you.

We will never use your email for any other purpose, and we won't send you third-party advertising.

4. Legal basis

The legal basis for processing is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given when you sign up by ticking the relevant box, which is not pre-checked. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

5. Who can access your data

Your data stays within our organizing team and is never shared or sold to third parties. To manage it in practice, we rely on a few external tools, which act as data processors on our behalf:

6. Data transfers outside the European Union

Brevo, our mailing list platform, is based in France and processes data within the European Union. Some other providers we use (such as Google) are based in the United States and may process data outside the European Economic Area: these transfers rely on the safeguards provided by the GDPR, in particular the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the provider's adherence to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed to our updates list. When you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, we remove your contact without undue delay.

8. Your rights

At any time, you can exercise the rights the GDPR grants you:

To exercise these rights, write to us at italianbluegrasscampout@gmail.com. If you believe the processing of your data breaches applicable law, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (garanteprivacy.it), or with your own country's data protection authority.

9. Cookies and third-party services

The site is static and does not use profiling cookies or advertising tracking tools. Fonts are self-hosted, so simply browsing the pages does not involve any data transfer to third parties. The only external service present is the newsletter sign-up form, provided by Brevo: only when you use it is the data you enter sent to Brevo to manage your subscription.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this page if the tools or methods we use to process data change. The date at the top always reflects the most recent revision.
